What silyring does

silyring turns HTTP requests into phone calls and push notifications. You install the app, get a unique webhook URL, and any POST request to that URL triggers a call or notification on your device.

Data we collect

  • Device push tokens — We store your VoIP (iOS) and FCM push tokens to deliver calls and notifications. These are device-specific identifiers issued by Apple and Google.
  • Device identifier — A unique ID stored on your device (Keychain on iOS, device fingerprint on Android) to identify your device across reinstalls. This is used for trial tracking.
  • App Store receipt — On iOS, we collect your App Store receipt to verify trial eligibility. We do not extract purchase history or personal information from it.
  • Call/notification history — Message content from calls and notifications is stored locally on your device only. We do not store message content on our servers.
  • Platform information — We store whether your device is iOS or Android for routing notifications correctly.

Data we do NOT collect

  • Your name, email, or any personal identification
  • Your location or IP address (beyond what's needed for API requests)
  • Your contacts, photos, or other device data
  • Analytics or tracking data
  • Message content — messages pass through our server to deliver the notification but are not stored

How we use your data

We use your push tokens solely to deliver calls and notifications when your webhook URL is triggered. Device identifiers are used to manage your trial period. We do not sell, share, or use your data for advertising.

Third-party services

  • Apple Push Notification service (APNs) — Used to deliver VoIP calls on iOS
  • Firebase Cloud Messaging (FCM) — Used to deliver push notifications on both iOS and Android
  • MongoDB Atlas — Used to store device registration data

These services have their own privacy policies and may process data according to their terms.

Data retention

Device registration data is retained as long as your device is registered. If you uninstall the app and do not reinstall, your data remains in our database but becomes inactive (no notifications are sent). You can request deletion by contacting us.

Security

Webhook URLs are unique and unguessable (12-character random keys). You can regenerate your URL at any time if it is compromised. All communication between the app and our servers uses HTTPS encryption.

Your rights

You can:

  • Regenerate your webhook URL at any time (old URL stops working)
  • Mute all calls and notifications
  • Clear your local call history
  • Request deletion of your data by emailing us

Children's privacy

silyring is not intended for use by children under 13. We do not knowingly collect data from children.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated date.
